Headboards
A single motif at bed width, cut across the full panel. One piece per room, or one motif repeated with a different number on each.

A cut held open by tensioned thread works the same at forty centimetres and at four metres. Only the frame changes.
This is not a print applied to a surface.
The motif is cut into the cloth. What stands proud of the surface was never added to it — it is the ground itself, held open. Nothing is laminated, glued or backed, so nothing can lift, bubble or peel over a contract lifetime.
Tension is the one decision that cannot be undone.
Too little and the motif lies flat. Too much and the ground tears. It is set by hand, once, on every piece — which is why a commission is quoted by hours, not by square metres.

Suites · boutique hotels
Cut panels set into the backs of fixed seating, where a guest meets the surface at close range for two hours at a time.
Restaurants · bars · lounges
Stretched and framed, read as artwork rather than upholstery. The largest format the method takes, and the one that shows the edge best.
Lobbies · corridors · private rooms
A house mark, a crest or a room number, cut rather than stitched. Smallest in scale, and usually the first commission a house orders.
Cushions · throws · turndown piecesCommercial work is quoted before anything is made and is not returnable, because each piece is cut for one space and fits no other.
One maker reads every message. You get a reply, not an acknowledgement.
